"Namastey London" is an Indo-British project with a contemporary topic about cross-cultural romance and stars Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Rishi Kapoor and Upen Patel and directed by Vipul Shah.

Jasmeet Singh (Katrina Kaif) affectionately called 'Jazz', is an NRI girl, living with her father in Britain, brought up lovingly by her father Manmohan Singh (Rishi Kapoor).
Jazz loves everything that is British, which is something that always irked her father, who is a very Indian man with very Indian values. His best friend Parvez Khan (Javed Sheikh), who shares similar orientation, has a son Imran Khan (Upen Patel), who displays the same behaviour as Jazz and is her best friend. He even has a live-in relationship with a British girl.

Concerned about her obsession to Britain, Manmohan Singh forces his daughter to marry a typical Indian in India- Arjun (Akshay Kumar), a Punjabi farmer, who barely speaks English. Initially he was joyful about his beautiful wife but then he realizes that she intends to marry her British boyfriend. Heartbroken, and caught in this emotional tug of war between father and daughter is poor Arjun, who is helplessly and hopelessly in love with his beautiful but unyielding wife. However, Arjun will do anything to make his beloved happy and fall in love with him.

Himesh Reshammiya is back along with lyricist Javed Akhtar, constituting the music team. The album of the film Namaste London has 18 tracks, which also include remix versions of all the 7 songs in the film and another version referred to as the Mehfil mix, features Akhtar spilling poetic vignettes.

The film also stars Jason Connery in second lead. He is the son of Hollywood legend, Sean Connery. One of the directors of photography is Dariusz Wolski, has got Hollywood films like "Pirates of the Caribbean" to his credit. It is made on an estimated big budget of around 25 crores and will release on March 23rd.
